Recently we have changed the labels on a number of our teas. Because we are not a certified organic facility, the USDA has let us know that we are no longer allowed to use the word "organic" to describe our teas. The certification process is a lengthy one, and we are unlikely to become certified in the near future.
As we have been doing for many years, we will continue to source as many organic teas as possible from our suppliers. More than half of the teas we currently purchase are labeled USDA certified organic when they arrive at our store. Unfortunately, for now, we will not be able to describe those teas as "organic" on our labels.
