Caffeine and Tea
All of our herbal and rooibos teas are naturally caffeine-free. All other teas contain some amount of caffeine. For more information about the caffeine content of different teas, please reference our guide to caffeine in tea.
Preparing Loose Leaf Tea
All of the tea we sell is loose leaf. Each tea comes with detailed preparation instructions on the label. You can prepare using a tea infuser, filter, teapot, or other brewing device. Different teas have different requirements when it comes to the water temperature, steep time, and amount of tea leaves used. How Long Tea Lasts
When stored in an air-tight container away from heat, light, and moisture, tea generally lasts for up to a year. You can read more about tea storage and expiration in our guide to how long tea lasts for.
You can find a full list of ingredients for each tea in the "ingredients" section on each product page, as well as on the back label of each bag or tin.
A few of our teas may contain a very minute amount of gluten due to the flavorings used, but most of our teas are gluten free.

Shipping and Returns
Processing Times and Shipping
We normally process and fulfill orders within 1 to 2 business days. You will receive an email notification with tracking information once your order has shipped. We use USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Mail for most orders, although some orders may be shipped using UPS Ground.
While USPS Ground Advantage and Priority Mail packages typically arrive within 5 business days of the ship date, postal service delays are now common, so we ask that you check your tracking information if you are waiting for a package, and then contact your local post office if it doesn't arrive as expected. If a package isn’t delivered within 2 weeks of the shipping date, we will assist in whatever way we can.
If a package is returned to us because of an incorrect or insufficient shipping address, we will issue a refund minus the cost of shipping.
Unless otherwise specified, we will ship multiple orders addressed to the same address in one box.
We ship to all 50 states and select international countries.
We are happy to answer any questions you have regarding our tea. Once purchased, we do not offer returns or refunds for loose leaf tea or pantry items. Teaware is eligible for return on a case by case basis, with shipping at the customer's expense. If USPS or UPS returns a package to us because of an incorrect or insufficient shipping address, we will issue a refund minus the original cost of shipping.
Free Shipping on Orders over $59
Any order of $59 or more automatically ships for free within the United States. International orders are subject to additional shipping charges.
Please keep in mind that using a coupon may bring your cart total to under $59. If you’d like to use the coupon and also take advantage of our free shipping offer, please make sure your cart total is $59 or more after discounts.
We offer subscriptions for each of our loose leaf teas. Choose to automatically receive your favorite teas every one, two, or three months. Subscriptions are renewed automatically each month until you choose to cancel.
Managing Your Subscription
If you've created an account with ArtfulTea, you can view your subscriptions by logging into your account. If you haven't created an account with ArtfulTea, you can view, edit, or cancel your subscriptions through the link you receive in each subscription email.
Pausing Your Subscription
You can skip or reschedule your subscription at any time. Each scheduled delivery will have a "skip payment" button next to it, which you can use to skip that month's order. You can also reschedule your order by clicking on the "reschedule" button next to the delivery date.
Cancelling Your Subscription
You're welcome to cancel your subscription at any time. If you have an account with ArtfulTea, you can cancel your subscription in your account settings. You can also do so through magic link you receive with each subscription email.
Subscription Shipping Charges
All subscriptions over $49 ship for free. Recurring subscriptions under 1 lb. (including packaging materials) ship for $4 each month. Recurring subscriptions over lb. ship for $8 each month. If your initial order includes other items and is over $59, you will be charged shipping for subsequent recurring orders if the reucurring subscription total is under $59.
