We hope to have more Miss Violet available this fall!

Miss Violet starts with a purple tea base, which is then blended by hand with butterfly pea flower, hibiscus, lemon peel, and lavender blossoms, for a mellow tea that brews into a vibrant violet color. This tea has a light body, with a subtle sweetness and floral and citrus notes. Contains no added flavorings.

Cups Per Package

This purple leaf tea is carefully blended and packaged by hand in a reusable tin or a resealable kraft bag. Our 4 oz. tin or kraft bag makes approximately 35 – 40 cups of tea. Our 8 oz. kraft bag makes approximately 70 – 80 cups.

Ingredients

Purple leaf tea (Origin: Nandi Hills, Kenya), organic hibiscus, organic butterfly pea flower, organic lemon peel, organic lavender blossoms. Contains no added flavorings.

Tasting Notes

Light and mild, with a subtle sweetness and floral and citrus notes.

How To Brew Miss Violet

Use 1 level teaspoon per 6 oz. water. Heat water until briskly steaming but not boiling (approximately 185-190 degrees). Steep for 3 minutes.

We recommend using a teapottea infuser, or tea filter. These brewing methods give the tea leaves enough room to expand as the tea steeps, resulting in a richer, more flavorful cup.

More About Miss Violet

Purple tea is a new kind of tea! Like other types of true tea (including black tea, green tea, white tea, oolong tea, and pu-erh tea), purple tea is made from the leaves of the camellia sinensis tea plant. Unlike these other types of tea, the leaves of the specific varietal used to produce purple tea are purple instead of green. Purple tea was found growing wild in the Assam region of India, and is now primarily grown in Kenya. Our purple tea is from the Tumoi Tea Garden in the Nandi Hills of Kenya. Purple tea has a light body and a mild, slightly floral flavor.

Miss Violet is a custom tea designed and blended by hand here at ArtfulTea. We wanted to create a tasty tea that combines some of our most unique single-ingredient teas, like purple tea and butterfly pea flower, into a visually stunning blend. As an added bonus, Miss Violet is full of beneficial properties, and is especially high in antioxidants and anthocyanins. This tea brews up a vibrant violet color, and has a mellow taste with floral and citrus notes.
