Our Horchata Rooibos is an herbal tea blend inspired by horchata, a traditional Hispanic drink found at aguas frescas stands during summer festivals and fiestas. Many northern New Mexican restaurants also serve this classic rice milk drink. Flavored with cinnamon and other spices, it's creamy and refreshing on hot summer days.

Horchata Rooibos combines South African rooibos with roasted rice, cinnamon, vanilla, and other spices. Enjoy it on its own, or with a splash of milk and sweetener. Horchata Rooibos makes an excellent iced tea!

Cups Per Package

This luxury loose leaf tea is carefully blended and packaged by hand in a reusable tin or a resealable kraft bag. Our 5 oz. tin or kraft bag makes approximately 35 - 40 cups of tea. Our 10 oz. kraft bag makes approximately 70 - 80 cups.

South African rooibos, organic cinnamon pieces, organic roasted rice, anise, cloves, allspice, natural vanilla flavor.

Tasting Notes

Rich, sweet, and slightly nutty, with notes of cinnamon and vanilla.

How To Brew Horchata Rooibos

Use 1 level teaspoon per 6 oz. water. Heat water to a full boil. Steep for 5 minutes or more.

We recommend using a teapot, tea infuser, or tea filter. These brewing methods give the tea leaves enough room to expand as the tea steeps, resulting in a richer, more flavorful cup.

Pleasant Surprise

I love a good Horchata. So when I ordered my last teas they were kind enough to include a requested sample of this tea. I was hesitant to be honest… a Horchata Tea?
While Hot I was not happy about it but COLD a whole different story. I added some honey and cream. Now I Love it as a Milk style tea.

Superb "Mexican" brew!

This is such FUN!! with the milk(i used half and half) and a delightful "change" from the "standard teas" --whether caffeinated or herbal-- it is extra special to me! i had forgotten how good it was and my daughter and I had so much fun sharing a "virtual tea party" with this tasting to celebrate the first day of our Artful Advent Calendar experience!! Everybody needs to send a special person an Advent Calendar of teas and add one for themselves for the Season!
