This dark, rich tea combines the sweet decadence of caramel with the earthy depth of flavor of an aged pu-erh to create something akin to dessert in a teacup. Smooth and full-bodied with a naturally sweet finish, this tea is supremely cozy—perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up. Excellent with a splash of milk.

Cups Per Package

This loose leaf pu-erh tea is carefully blended and packaged by hand in a reusable tin or a resealable kraft bag. Our 4 oz. tin or kraft bag makes approximately 35–40 cups of tea. Our 8 oz. kraft bag makes approximately 70–80 cups.

Rich, full-bodied, and earthy, with notes of caramel and almonds.

How To Brew Caramel Pu-erh

Use 1 level teaspoon per 6 oz. water. Heat water to boiling. Steep for 3 to 7 minutes. These leaves can also handle a second infusion.

We recommend using a teapot, tea infuser, or tea filter. These brewing methods give the tea leaves enough room to expand as the tea steeps, resulting in a more flavorful cup.

Pu-erh contains a moderate amount of caffeine, less than half as much as coffee per cup.

Wonderfully Fragrant, Satisfying and Smooth

I am a new-to-tea tea drinker who has recently stopped drinking coffee. While this tea is milder than coffee, the caramel aroma before every sip is irresistible to me. I just love it. Additionally, I appreciate the health benefits found in fermented foods and especially enjoy how the caramel and almonds add a bit of sweetness to the pu-erh. Finally, this tea feels wonderfully smooth in my mouth. I am looking forward to many warm, satisfying cups of this wonderful tea through the winter months.

My Go-To Coffee Substitute

I bought this and the Nutty Mocha Mate. I like the mate, but I love the Pu-erh tea. I like just about all fermented foods, so I felt like this was going to go well. I've never had regular Pu-erh, but I think the caramel flavor in this really complements the nice funkiness of the tea. This has now replaced my morning cup o' joe.

Earthy Sweetness in a Cup

I believe the caramel and almonds balance the earthiness of the pu-erh tea beautifully. I add a splash of oat milk, and this tea is delish!
